The Challenge

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, it has been a great pleasure and a blessing on my part to be appointed by our beloved bishop Most Rev. Joseph Tyson and be part of your faith-journey as the new pastor at St. Peter Claver Church. Jesus said in the gospel, "The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few." Indeed, Wapato is rich with so many opportunities to propagate the Good News about the Kingdom of God. It is a melting pot of the different cultures. However, this Good News about the rich harvest in our parish cannot be realized unless all of us - the Parishioners and I under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the shepherding role of our bishop will work hand in hand for the laborers are few. I hope that we will work as one body. Let us make our Church truly a welcoming and a vibrant faith community.
